Abstract

MAGANA MANCILLAS, Mario Alberto. El poblamiento de Baja California durante el siglo XIX: reflexión desde la Historia demográfica. Estud. front [online]. 2004, vol.5, n.10, pp.117-134. ISSN 2395-9134.

The population has been an object of study rarely worked in history's academic field, far less the specific phenomena of the demographic development of populating what we know today as the state of Baja California: among it migration. Most of the time a hypothetical panorama has been generalized, with this work one seeks to direct a discussion about the demographic development of Baja California, from a historical perspective and recognizing the diverse moments of its populating.

Keywords : Population; migration; foundational matrix; 19th century; Baja California.
