Abstract

QUEREJAZU VIDOVIC, Claudia Verónica. Theoretical Approach to the Causes of Entrepreneurship. Econ: teor. práct [online]. 2020, n.52, pp.69-97.  Epub June 17, 2020. ISSN 2448-7481.  https://doi.org/10.24275/etypuam/ne/522020/querejazu.

Although over the past three centuries economic science has worked on identifying who become entrepreneurs, understanding their behavior requires a multidisciplinary approach. The objective of this paper is to identify decisive factors of entrepreneurial behavior, in relevant literature on entrepreneurship and from diverse perspectives, that can contribute to understanding this phenomenon in Latin American countries. It therefore addresses certain conceptual frameworks that attempt to explain why some people decide to start their own business. Since they consider entrepreneurship as a planned action, psychosocial models of intention may be useful for understanding entrepreneurial behavior in the region.

Keywords : entrepreneur; determinants of entrepreneurship; entrepreneurial behaviour.
