The new digitalized manufacturing paradigm emerges as a disruptive stage, identified as different from the past due to its speed, extension and impact on society. Issues to be addressed include: i) characteristics of digitalization incorporation in international production, ii) the results of an exploratory study of a group of Mexican companies ranging in size and working on the application of digital technologies, aimed at identifying characteristics of the analogical-digital transition process and the internal and external obstacles faced by companies transitioning to digitalization.
