Abstract

DOSSE, François. The historical event between Sphinx and Phoenix. Hist. graf [online]. 2013, n.41, pp.13-42. ISSN 1405-0927.

The event returns to the centre of historical research. For a great part of the XIX century, the event was considered insignificant when the understanding of historical processes was at hand; however, the notion of event that returns is not the one that Annales negated during the 1920's. The event returns bearing two faces: that of the enigrma (Sphinx) and the other, one of constant reinterpretation (Phoenix).

Keywords : event; history; human sciences; future.
