Abstract

HERNANDEZ VICENCIO, Tania. Revolution and Constitution: Miguel Palomar y Vizcarra's Political Thoughts and Actions. Hist. graf [online]. 2014, n.42, pp.159-192. ISSN 1405-0927.

This work is a product of a wider investigation on the meaning that the Revolution of 1910 and the Constitution of 1917 had for the Mexican Catholics of beginning of the 20th century. In studying the speech and action of Miguel Palomar y Vizcarra, prominent leader of Social Catholicism, this article contributes elements of analysis of what Elías Palti calls the ideopraxis of key figures of national history. This work expands the historiography on the impact of the revolutionary process and of its principal political - ideological product, the constitution of 17, through the recovery of primary sources that show the thought and the political action of the Palomar y Vizcarra.

Keywords : Revolution; constitution; political thinking; political action; social catholicism.
