Abstract

RUIDREJO, Alejandro. The Extraordinary Heterotopy and the History of Governmentality. Hist. graf [online]. 2017, n.49, pp.117-146. ISSN 1405-0927.

In this article we will try to make a new interpretation of the character of extraordinary heterotopia that Michel Foucault granted to the Jesuit missions of Paraguay in his early work, from its framework in the history of governmentality that the French philosopher developed in the Collège de France, in the late seventies, as part of a historical ontology of the present in which the neoliberal governmental rationality unfolds.

Keywords : extraordinary heterotopia; governmentality; jesuitical missions; racionality; ontology; history.
