Abstract
ROCHA CHAVEZ, Reynaldo. University teaching from the perspective of students compared to the professors' perspective. Innov. educ. (Méx. DF) [online]. 2012, vol.12, n.58, pp.91-118. ISSN 1665-2673.
This research examines the differences between, the perspectives of students and professors on university teaching, using an ex post facto, transverse and bivariate correlational survey. The students' perspective highlights the teacher's attitudes towards them and towards the practice of teaching, along with a decent and dignified professional didactic method. On the other hand, professors emphasize the habits associated with the cultivation of academic relations with other colleagues and with being a scholar of one's discipline, and the practice of sufficient leadership to examine the institutional reality with objectivity, precision and balance. It has been established that a low level of teacher performance from the perspective of students, is usually associated with high values of performance from the perspective of the teacher.
