Abstract

The main objective of this research is to determine the relationship between academic procrastination and academic stress in high school students. In order to achieve this objective, the Academic Procrastination Scale and the SISCO Inventory for the study of academic stress were applied to a sample of 300 students from a higher education institution. Their results indicate different levels of relationship and not relationship between both variables based on their constitutive dimensions or their general value as variables. It concludes the need to review the concept of procrastination and its relation to academic self-regulation.
