Abstract

This collaboration pretends to argue that internet and technological innovation are essential to achieve progress, through the exchange of information and knowledge. To determine this assumption, were considered different national and international perspectives and experiences, exposing that the internet is the axis of an Smart City, through devices connected and located in different parts of the metropolis, it allows managing information, optimizing resources, processes and services, promoting more plural and transparent systems, and thereby achieve social welfare and improve the quality of life of every citizen.
