Abstract

NAVA ESCUDERO, César. Guía mínima para la enseñanza del derecho internacional ambiental en México. Bol. Mex. Der. Comp. [online]. 2005, vol.38, n.113, pp.815-844. ISSN 2448-4873.

Thinking of environmental law professors needs, this article designs a syllabus with minimum guidelines required to teach such subject. The author argues that teaching implies not only an attitude but also skills, experience, professional practice, and a research oriented mind, together with a combination of knowledge based on theory and training. Moreover, international environmental law topics are analyzed such as the concepts of Soft and Hard law, the principles that are applicable in Mexico and international environmental law treaties to which Mexico is a party, among others. Finally, the author argues that international environmental law requires more time to consolidate itself as a subject studied in law schools.

Keywords : environmental law; legal teaching; international law.
