The present study analizes the legal consideration of water sheds in environmental mexican law. The research takes as our starting point the fact that the basin is an environmental, delimitable unit that could be used for integral management for natural resources. For that, it is important to know if the Mexican legal system is flexible enough to let this kind of actions, provided that traditional division between Federation, states and Municipalities is the ulitlizied in Mexican law.
