Abstract

LABARDINI, Rodrigo. Proteus and the Phoenix in Mexico: The Paradigm Constitution and Human Rights. Bol. Mex. Der. Comp. [online]. 2012, vol.45, n.134, pp.467-537. ISSN 2448-4873.

The modern Mexican legal system was born on June 11, 2011, when the constitutional reform on human rights came into effect. Our legal system must now confront a new national legal paradigm conformed by Mexico's constitution and human rights. It falls upon Mexico's legal forum -society and government, i. e., the State- to realize such novel paradigm amidst the multiple paths it offers. It is not enough for the constitution to harbor these rights. They must become a reality.

Keywords : Constitution; human rights; treaties; constitutional law.
