Abstract

In the Mexican justice system it is a common practice that one part of the trial can have a private meeting with the judge, this is known as the “alegato de oreja”. This article pretends to show how this works, its role and the costs. The aim is to propose an adequate way to regulate this practice in order to strengthen and legitimize the Mexican justice system.
