CANTU RIVERA, Humberto. The Role of National Human Rights Institutions in the Field of Business and Human Rights. Bol. Mex. Der. Comp. [online]. 2020, vol.53, n.157, pp.13-45. Epub Dec 13, 2021. ISSN 2448-4873. https://doi.org/10.22201/iij.24484873e.2020.157.15224.
A key participant in the discussion on business and human rights are national human rights institutions. Through their different functions, they may contribute to capacity-building in the public and private sectors, thus allowing them to participate directly in the dissemination and implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. Furthermore, in the context of the negotiations on a binding treaty in this field, it will be particularly important to consider the role that these institutions may play, in order to actively collaborate in the development of a corporate human rights culture.
