Abstract

This study refers to the analysis of the changes that the 2013 energy reform entails in terms of government control, within which is the new nature of Pemex and CFE as productive companies of the State, acquiring a different approach in terms of their axes and performances. This leads to a new surveillance and audit scheme, as well as new transparency and accountability mechanisms. These transcendental changes are intended to strengthen the energy sector and prevent corruption, however, the stated objectives have not been achieved.
