Abstract

MORALES-MAVIL, Jorge E.; BELLO-SANCHEZ, E. Ahmed; MARTINEZ-VACA LEON, O. Iván  and  SUAREZ-DOMINGUEZ, Emilio A.. New record of Siren intermedia (Caudata: Sirenidae) for Veracruz, Mexico. Acta Zool. Mex [online]. 2017, vol.33, n.1, pp.139-142. ISSN 2448-8445.

The Lesser siren (Siren intermedia) is recorded for the first time in Tuxpan, for the second time in the state of Veracruz, and for the third time in Mexico. This finding increases the points of distribution of this species, previously reported from Matamoros and Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas and Gutierrez Zamora, Veracruz. This species has so far, a disjunct distribution in Mexico.
