Abstract

The current report addresses the finding of Eustongylides tubifex in a green-backed heron (Butorides striata), female, adult, found dead in the wetland El banco, in the state of Michoacan, Mexico. At necropsy, tubular structures forming tunnels in the walls of the proventriculus and ventricle, and numerous adhesions in the peritoneum were observed.
