Abstract

ROMERO TOVAR, María Teresa. Memoria y defensa de los panteones comunitarios del Distrito Federal. Nueva antropol [online]. 2010, vol.23, n.73, pp.9-33. ISSN 0185-0636.

This text presents a reflection on collective memory, critical history, and the political movement which emerged at the beginning of the 21st century to defend communal cemeteries in Mexico City. The process of identity reconstruction through social practices leaves imprints on the social space and marks the social time of Mexico Cit/s original peoples. The author proposes a feasible way to analyze cultural elements of the past, which are still alive in toda/s Mexico City.

Keywords : collective memory; critical history; original peoples of Mexico City.
