Abstract

SANCHEZ DIAZ, Sergio G.. Los sindicatos ante las ciencias sociales y la antropología social en México: antecedentes, logros y perspectivas en el siglo XXI. Nueva antropol [online]. 2014, vol.27, n.80, pp.59-82. ISSN 0185-0636.

Unions continue to be studied from various disciplines in the social sciences, although in recent decades they have declined in importance in labor corporate negotiations in Mexico. The author's purpose is to update the approaches of these disciplines for the first decade of the twenty-first century. The fields of research in which unions continue to be studied are: corporatism, labor force restructuring, and new labor subjects, political and organizational culture, worker awareness, union democracy, gender relations, and women's participation in unions. The author establishes the scope, limitations, and challenges that face research on trade unions in Mexico today based on a review of current literature.

Keywords : Unions; social theory; organizational culture; worker awareness.
