In the paper entitled: A Spectrographic Study of the Interacting Eclipsing Binary RY Scuti: An Episode in the Rapid Mass Loss Stage or a Protoplanetary Nebula? by J. Sahade, R. M. West, and M. Yu. Skul'sky, that was published in RevMexAA, Vol. 38, No. 2, pp. 259-274, October 2002, the P Cygni lines identified as Si IV and C IV features (p. 259 and 261) are actually due, respectively, to Si III 1387.948 + Si III 1388.011, and to Fe III 1544.025 + Fe III 1544.068 + Fe IV 1546.400 + Fe III 1546.551 (cf. Rogerson & Ewell 1985). Then, there is no disagreement in the radial velocities values.

We are grateful to Dr. Douglas R. Gies for bringing this paper to our attention.
