Abstract

GARCIA JURADO, Roberto. El método comparativo de Gabriel Almond. Estud. polít. (Méx.) [online]. 2008, n.13-14-15, pp.91-109. ISSN 0185-1616.

Gabriel Almond is a contemporary well-known political scientist. In the wide discipline of the political science, the most attractive field for him has been the comparative politics. His theories of the civic culture and political development have had a huge importance in the academic environment. To follow the path marked by Easton, Almond has developed at length the concept of political system to put it in the center of the comparative politics. However, the method proposed by Almond to compare the political systems of the world has many problems which are indicated in this paper.

Keywords : Comparative politics; political development; political system; structural differentiation; cultural secularization.
