Abstract

SANCHEZ MARTINEZ, José Said. Pre-election coalitions, divided and unified government at state level: 1998-2014. Estud. polít. (Méx.) [online]. 2014, n.32, pp.115-142. ISSN 0185-1616.

This paper starts from the premise that studies of the legislative branch in Mexico have been increasing, but at the subnational level is still limited. It is also considered that the increase in number of coalitions in governorships has implications for study. In this regard, the objectives of the work are: describe the development of the different types of government at the state level in the period 1998-2014 and show the empirical challenges that have the concepts of divided government and unified government.
