Abstract

TREJO, Leopoldo; GONZALEZ, Mauricio; HEIRAS, Carlos  and  LAZCARRO, Israel. Cuando el otro nos comprende: los retos de la interculturalidad ritual. Cuicuilco [online]. 2009, vol.16, n.46, pp.251-272. ISSN 0185-1659.

The intense relationship different people in the south of Huastec support let establish bonds that make them share numerous devices. How far can we go with that? That is the challenge we face in a region where ethnolinguistic and cultural diversity are emblematic, where Nahua, Otomi, Tepehua and Totonac people live together. An indemnifying ritual to the Sirena, the Owner of Water, will be the detonator of a pressing theoretical trouble: if ritual is the royal way where worldview manifests, how can we understand interethnical rituals? In this article we explore some angles of the problem, enquiring the oneness symbolic way attached by anthropologists to ritual practices and adverting the importance of the equivocal, ambiguity, the efficacy of the confuse and the privileged place of expression plane where we can appreciate how is possible to live using diverse forms of mutual comprehension.

Keywords : Interethnic ritual; Huastec; praxis; comprehension; half understood ideas.
