In this article, the author examines the path that the Catholic Church followed during the Vatican Council II, because it assumes that the influenced of this Council in the Catholicism allowed many Christians to join the Leftist and Revolutionary Movements during the Sixties. The paper starts with the facts that prepared the Council, like the Letran Treats, the theological school called Nouvelle Theologie, the Ecumenical movement and War World II. After this overview, the paper goes inside the Catholic thought in order to highlight the features of this point of view that meant a change of mind in the Church and opened the way towards a dialogue with the Socialist followers.
