The article focuses the formation of indigenous organizations based on the financing on behalf by the Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo (PNUD), which is interested in promoting programs of sustainable development as well as organizations interested on the conservation of the environment. The present investigation analyzes the effects and impacts of environmental politics on the constitution of indigenous organization and its internal conformation, as these had to rebuild their traditional organizational structure, adapting external norms and values to their Maya culture in order to access the resources offered by the PNUD. The work refers the characteristics, the goals and the sense of fifteen small organizations of Maya peasants, beekeepers and Maya women located on communities at the south of Yucatan state.
