Abstract

GUZMAN GOMEZ, Carlota. Reflexiones en torno a la condición estudiantil en los noventa: los aportes de la sociología francesa. Perfiles educativos [online]. 2002, vol.24, n.97-98, pp.38-56. ISSN 0185-2698.

In this article, the author shows the debate that can be found right now about being student in France. He situates the debate in the current context of overcrowding in universities, emphasizing not only the elements that produce tensions, but also the different answers that can be found about the meaning of being a student today. He also identifies the constitutive elements of this condition of being student and the importance that different analysis approaches give to it, taking into account not only the personal and social elements and the family ties, but also the aspects which are tightly related to the students' practice, such as the course they study or the relationship with other students.
