Abstract

VAIN, Pablo Daniel. El diario académico: una estrategia para la formación de docentes reflexivos. Perfiles educativos [online]. 2003, vol.25, n.100, pp.56-68. ISSN 0185-2698.

The articulation between theory and practice in university study programs is still a subject of debate, especially when the training of professionals is based on the notion of a reflective professional. We argue that professional training in the university should not be meant to develop the technical rationality, but rather to help the students to tackle with the indeterminate areas of practice. This means to give them a situational sense that could help them to develop specific abilities that do not necessarily match with what is traditionally taught in the universities. The purpose of this article is to present an innovative experience whose main objective has been to act within this articulation space between theory and practice, from the perspective of the reflective professional training. It has to do with the academic diary and its implementation in higher and postgraduate education.

Keywords : Reflective professional; Professional training; Higher education; Academic diary.
