Abstract

GIL RIVERA, María del Carmen. Modelo de diseño instruccional para programas educativos a distancia. Perfiles educativos [online]. 2004, vol.26, n.104, pp.93-114. ISSN 0185-2698.

Taking as starting point a constructivist conception, the author proposes an educational model for those professionals interested in the creation of distance education programs. She thus describes each of the elements that make up the model. An accurate diagnosis of the educational institution which offers the distance education program, the main features of the target students, the human resources and the technological infrastructure on which the program will rely will be the starting point to draw up the knowledge that the student will have acquired at the end of this educational program; then it will be possible to determine the contents that will be tackled, to draw up the learning activities that will be carried out, to choose the teaching materials and the communication media that will be used by the student in order to achieve learning and to design activities to highlight what has been taught. Finally, the author proposes different ways to assess the model in order to know whether the distance education program reaches the general objective(s) or not.
