Abstract

CASIMIRO LOPES, Alice. Articulations in curriculum policies. Perfiles educativos [online]. 2008, vol.30, n.120, pp.63-78. ISSN 0185-2698.

In this paper, I argue to reason that the investigation of curricular policies can benefit from theoretical-methodological inputs that make it possible to consider contextual dimensions, articulations between demands from sundry collective subjects and discursive reinterpretations. I emphasize the antagonism of the policy, pointing out how attempts to construct consensuses tend to mask confíicts in the struggle for new hegemonies. This discussion is developed by analyzing the reform of high school education in Brazil. As for this reform, the articulation between subjects and competencies in curricular texts is developed by constructing an antagonism between a new curriculum that is intended to project, versus an old curriculum, which is intended to eliminate. This articulation is analyzed with the theory of Stephen Ball and Ernesto Laclau.
