Abstract
NUNEZ LAGOS, Paulina. Discursive organization of reports written by university students in early development. Perfiles educativos [online]. 2020, vol.42, n.169, pp.36-51. Epub Feb 15, 2021. ISSN 0185-2698. https://doi.org/10.22201/iisue.24486167e.2020.169.59546.
The investigation, situated in the methodological tradition of analysis of discourse, has as its aim to describe the types of reports students in social and human sciences write in their first years of study. The investigation, following a qualitative approach, of descriptive scope, seeks to identify categories based on the unit of analysis known as discursive moves of Swales. The sample was made up by 110 written reports. The results identified common and divergent discursive traits in the organization of four types of reports identified: case report, bibliographic report, canonic research report, and diagnostic report. The results of the study provide valuable empirical evidence for the learning of a discourse genre with high recurrence, and constitute a contribution to the construction of didactic applications of academic and professional writing in different types of reports.
