Abstract

The importance of the context is accentuated more and more in the researches on academic motivation. This article presents the main results of an oriented study to describe particularities of the process of contextualizing that two groups of college students made respect to a same academic task, like specific level of the context of the class. The data analysis revealed marked differences in the cognitive plans of the students, in their performance and the quality of the elaborated tasks. The discussion emphasizes the importance of the meta-motivational knowledge for one better understanding of the situated motivation in college surroundings.
