Abstract

The Bigg's Study Process Questionnaire (1987) applied to a group of 185 university students showed a higher preference for a deep learning approach, followed by an achievement/ strategic approach. The findings include a belief on the importance of education and relevant up-to-date knowledge for academic achievement and better job acqusition; a preference for courses carefully prepared by the teachers; and learning facts. This studies should continue to confirm or refute these findings.
