Abstract

ROSALES-GRACIA, Sandra et al. Modalidad híbrida y presencial: Comparación de dos modalidades educativas. Rev. educ. sup [online]. 2008, vol.37, n.148, pp.23-29. ISSN 0185-2760.

To compare the academic performance in Microbiology and Parasitology on medical students, a quasi-experimental study was designed for 58 students in the third semester of the career using two educational modalities: regular attendance and a hybrid modality (attendance/online). On the overall result of the post-evaluation, a difference was observed on the academic performance in favor of the experimental group (p = 0.016), so it can be concluded that the use of a hybrid modality as educational strategy promotes greater learning in medical students.

Keywords : hybrid modality; online education; microbiology and parasitology learning.
