Abstract

We present an inclusive model of selection for the admission to higher education at the Universidad Autonoma Chapingo (UACH). The main purpose is to contribute to reduce inequality in access to educational opportunities for young people economically and socially marginalized and to recover the orientation of the university's founding. First, we reveal the access as a problem of inequality to marginalized social groups. Second, a brief characterization of the UACH is given in order to acknowledge their differences from other universities. Third, the stages of the selection model are discussed followed by the most relevant results of its application product for the years 2008 and 2009.
