Abstract

ANGULO PICO, Grace Margarita; QUEJADA PEREZ, Raúl  and  YANEZ CONTRERAS, Martha. Educación, mercado de trabajo y satisfacción laboral: el problema de las teorías del capital humano y señalización de mercado. Rev. educ. sup [online]. 2012, vol.41, n.163, pp.51-66. ISSN 0185-2760.

This research provides new insights into the theoretical framework on the relationship between education and the labor market. First it analyzes human capital and market signaling theories, going on to approach the job satisfaction phenomenon (non-monetary work rewards). The paper's analyses were made based on previous studies of university graduates, for they are the most representative population segment for illustrating the issues here analyzed. Thus, a contribution to economics is made, by merging labor topics previously thought as non-compatible.

Keywords : Human capital; Market signaling; Labor satisfaction; Graduates.
