In this investigation of the descriptive and interpretative presents the results of a needs assessment conducted with a sample of university students in different domains, you have to alternate practice as top athletes with the training process. The analysis of the various factors involved in the development of this linkage and the problems faced by students, constitutes a fundamental reference for colleges implement measures and actions for the harmonization between the two activities without to give up any of them. In the study six core dimensions (orientation in the previous stages, access to university studies, adaptation to college, support received, sport and career development), and the conclusion was reached addressed was that to sport reconcile with the learning process, student athletes need high performance counseling, more personalized attention and measures of institutional and academic support to help them achieve their goals.
