Abstract

GARCIA GUEVARA, Patricia. From Inequality to University Inclusion: The Gender Agency. Rev. educ. sup [online]. 2021, vol.50, n.200, pp.1-23.  Epub Mar 22, 2022. ISSN 0185-2760.  https://doi.org/10.36857/resu.2021.200.1887.

This article addresses three interrelated issues: Gender inequality and its complex relationships with higher education leading to inclusion in the Mexican context and the implications that this has on the traditional order of gendered careers. Due to recent student demonstrations at the higher education institutions (HEI), we reflect on the gender agency developed by academics and students. Finally, some empirical data on the HEI helps us to problematize the responses that some universities give to gender-based violence and we conclude with considerations to converge on an inclusion.
