Abstract
KONSTAN, David. Entre Sócrates y Descartes: hablar, leer y la naturaleza de la filosofía. Nova tellus [online]. 2009, vol.27, n.2, pp.71-90. ISSN 0185-3058.
In his Meditations, Descartes isolates himself from the world as the indispensable precondition for undertaking philosophical investigation. Nothing could be further from scene of classical philosophy, which is always that of a conversation -and not just in Plato's dialogues. In this article, I explore some differences between classical and Cartesian philosophy as a consequence of reading practices: the engaged, active style of reading in antiquity versus the modern sense of being removed from the world and alone with the text.
Keywords : Descartes; Socrates; Classical Greek Philosophy; Cartesian Philosophy; Dialogism.
