Abstract

In ancient Greek literature, the titles of works often present problems of interpretation, because, for some reasons, they not clearly show their content. Many Aristotelian works present this situation, largely due to the difficult problems of textual transmission. This article describes the conditions and difficulties of transmission of Sophistical refutations, and offers solutions that enable more adequately understand the title of this work.
