Abstract

GONZALEZ OCHOA, César. La literatura como sistema. Acta poét [online]. 2008, vol.29, n.2, pp.277-309. ISSN 2448-735X.

One of the most lucid Latin-American literary theorists, Cornejo Polar, proposed in his last writings the notions of literary system and heterogeneity. The history of those notions goes back to the work of Russian formalists and, later, to Bajtin; however, it is also related to Bourdieu's notion of field as well as to Even-Zohar's polysystemic theory. This paper discusses the systemic perspective in literary theory; the concept of system is developed thus, and its relationship to the theory of complexity.

Keywords : teoría literaria; sistema; heterogeneidad; formalismo; campo literario.
