This work is an analysis of the 87 sonnets that are contained in the book Práctica de vuelo (1956) by Carlos Pellicer. For the exegesis and approach to the very meaning of this entire poetic collection, the literary resources that were used by the poet during the creative process have been taken very seriously, such as image, symbol and metaphor, present in each of the poems. The study of Pellicer’s religious poetry is seen as a set of meanings transcending autobiographical, historical and personal contexts, through language turned into an autonomous unit articulated by signs in which the image and the symbol reveal the poem.
