Abstract
MEGGED, Amos. The "Memory Tale" of the Axoxpanecas (Late Postclassic to 1610 A.C.). Relac. Estud. hist. soc. [online]. 2010, vol.31, n.122, pp.107-162. ISSN 2448-7554.
In contrast to earlier studies of the Ajusco Title, the objective of this article is to understand this unique Title and its close connections to the cultural patrimony of the Nahuas. Concretely, I focus on the essential meaning of the Nahua conceptualization of time and space. The copy at the Biblioteca Lafragua in Puebla -a complete transcription of the original probably made in 1768- was recently uncovered by Lidia E. Gómez García. Translations of the Chimalpococa (at the BAH) and Lafragua versions show the usefulness of highlighting the variations between them.
Keywords : primordial titles; Nahua; conceptualization of time and space; studies of classic Náhuatl.
