Abstract
SAMANIEGO LOPEZ, Marco Antonio. Enrique Flores Magón vs. Enrique Flores Magón. A Discursive Modification with Historiographic Impact. Relac. Estud. hist. soc. [online]. 2019, vol.40, n.159, pp.193-218. Epub Sep 30, 2020. ISSN 2448-7554. https://doi.org/10.24901/rehs.v40i159.408.
This article elucidates how, in the years 1911-1918, Enrique Flores Magón published his pronouncement that there could be no negotiations with the government because the only solution to the country’s problems was the disappearance of all forms of authority. However, in the decade of 1930 and beyond, especially during the governments of Lázaro Cárdenas and Manuel Ávila Camacho, this posture was no longer tenable. The impact of this on historiography occurred through the actions of the anarchists in the PLM, and the emergence of the idea of men who found themselves fighting to achieve reforms that, as anarchists, they had rejected on multiple occasions.
Keywords : anarchism; worldwide revolution; Enrique Flores Magón; no government; discursive change.
