Abstract

This article aims to understand how the space and positions of privilege and oppression around social categories such as age, class, gender, and sexuality influence the configuration of violence between gays, lesbians, transgender and transsexual people. This is qualitative research that used the biographical method and life trajectories. Some findings indicate that interaction spaces influence relationships of violence by placing people with gender dissident gender identities in relationships of privilege and oppression.
