Abstract

CRUZ ISLAS, Ignacio César. CO2 Emissions in Urban Households. The Case of the Federal District. Estud. demogr. urbanos [online]. 2016, vol.31, n.1, pp.115-142. ISSN 2448-6515.

The intensification of human activity in the productive sector and everyday work has produced a significant increase in greenhouse gas emission, leading to climate change or global warming. This manmade phenomenon has been studied from various perspectives, including microsocial analysis.

This paper studies the main determinants of household energy consumption, estimating a proxy for the volume of associated carbon dioxide emissions, with data from the National Income and Expenditure Survey for the Federal District.

Keywords : households; emissions; carbon dioxide; Mexico.
