Abstract

ZABLUDOVSKY, Gina. La conceptualización de los intelectuales en el pensamiento de Max Weber. Sociológica (Méx.) [online]. 2005, vol.20, n.59, pp.115-135. ISSN 2007-8358.

Weber never wrote a specific work that systematically dealt with intel-lectuals. Because of this and because there are few books or articles on the topic, to deal with it, the author had to consider Weber’s vast body of work, particularly his Sociology of Religions. The original comparative perspective that this work uses allows us to understand intellectuals’ inter-relations with social classes, political power and religious elites, and the emergence of faith in the historical processes of different social realities.

Keywords : intellectuals; religion; politics; elites; social classes.
