Abstract

FONSECA HERNANDEZ, Carlos  and  QUINTERO SOTO, María Luisa. La Teoría Queer: la de-construcción de las sexualidades periféricas. Sociológica (Méx.) [online]. 2009, vol.24, n.69, pp.43-60. ISSN 2007-8358.

Queer theory is the theoretical development of sexual dissidence and the deconstruction of stigmatized identities, which, through re-signification of the insult, reaffirms that different sexual options are a human right. Peripheral sexualities are those that diverge from the imaginary circle of "normal" sexuality and exercise their right to proclaim their existence. This article deals with topics like "let him/her be," the right to love, and social roles and tries to explain the causes and consequences of a social system based on separating people and not on what they have in common.

Keywords : queer theory; peripheral sexualities; gender; masculinity; homosexuality.
