Abstract

RAMIREZ PAREDES, Juan Rogelio. Guidelines for an Analysis of Socio-Sport Identities in Soccer. Sociológica (Méx.) [online]. 2011, vol.26, n.73, pp.153-181. ISSN 2007-8358.

The aim of this article is to show one of the central axes for processing some of the new forms of social identity in our contemporaneity: sports in general, and specifically, soccer. The text deals with soccer's multidimensionality and proposes lines of basic analysis vis-à-vis the dimension linked to the generation of socio-sport identities. As far as research has gone today, an important absence of this kind of studies in Mexico is generally recognized as is their importance.

Keywords : game; sport; spectacle; business; identity; socio-sport identity.
