Abstract

OCAMPO MERLO, Rodrigo Eduardo  and  CUELLAR VAZQUEZ, Angélica. Analysis of Mexico’s Educational Restructuring in Light of the Changes in Its Primary-Level Regulatory Framework. Sociológica (Méx.) [online]. 2021, vol.36, n.102, pp.151-186.  Epub Sep 13, 2021. ISSN 2007-8358.

The aim of this article is to analyze the way in which changes to educational norms at the primary-school level have reconfigured the forms of domination in the field. These modifications impacted the structuring of the objective position of agents in the content of the illlusio and the formation of the habitus. The authors analyze the transformation process in three moments: the first dates back to 1992, when an educational restructuring began linked to an agreement about modernization. Secondly, they look at the implications the 2012 educational reform had for the field; and finally, they explain the normative breaks caused by the 2019 reform, as well as showing the practical potential it generated.

Keywords : educational reform; educational field; habitus; illusio; corporativism; teachers.
