The Roundtable for Concertation: The Experience of Multi-Actor Participation in the Placetas, Cuba Municipality (2016-2019). Sociológica (Méx.) Management of local governments in Cuba demands the use of novel instruments that contribute to the satisfaction of demands in the territories. Therefore, it is necessary to come up with processes for participation and multi-actor cooperation that become collective projects. This article establishes the basis for the contribution of this participation in local management oriented to senior citizens through a roundtable for concertation in the municipality of Placetas. The methodology used was participatory-action-research (PAR). This shows that this kind of mechanism is a methodological tool that allows for local, multi-actor participation for changing reality with a comprehensive vision, bringing together those on different levels of decision-making.

Keywords : roundtable for concertation; multi-actor participation; community development; senior citizens; local management.
